The day before I spotted a bike rack. I immediately went up to the front desk and asked if we could use them and booked them for the next morning.
Frankie and me (mostly Frankie ) try to get on the bikes everyday. Everything here is uphill, even when you go downhill you are going uphill. So being sore all the time is normal. We had hot even walked more then 10 ft. since we got here so we got up before all the other guests and got on the bikes.
Frankie's excuse is the language barrier. Of course we crossed the bridge! . It was Saturday at 8 in the morning in thew middle of the mountains- what could possibly happen? We decided to get off the bikes and just walk up to the middle, the view was incredible. It seemed like the surrounding mountains were about to come down over us.
a gecko- the only thing awake at 7am

by my bike!
We decided to bike futher up the road, it was pretty early and we weren't expecting any cars or trucks speeding around on the narrow winding roads. After a while we found the Cacheuta Hanging bridge.
We rode our bikes along side the old tracks through the little town we had seen on our hike the day before. It was only about 5 or 6 blocks before the main road connected to the highway again. There was a gendarmeria' (police/military) stop right at the end, next to a bus stop. It was uphill again so the thought of biking my way up there was discouraging. we decided to turn around and head back to the hotel- breakfast was waiting.
We also found what seemed to be abandoned houses along the road- the battery ran out of juice. We seemed to take few more tho :)
